Tavern Battle

Twelve adventuriers just fought the deadliest monsters. They came out of those fights exhausted, but happy, as they plundered riches beyond their craziest dreams!

Alas, the treasures they looted are not exactly what they had hoped to find. The Dwarf wants his Axe, the Magician his Spellbook, the Elf her Enchanted Lute, and the Troll... whatever.

To share their loot and retrieve what should be theirs, they agreed to come back to the tavern where they had met. This game is something like its story. And for the tavern itself, it doesn't end well...

Come back to your days of dungeon crawling with this card game, and explore what happens right after the aventure! You will play a party of two allied adventurers who will try to get back what should be theirs.

Treasures are negotiated peacefully at first... until one of you speaks with his muscles! Tables, chairs and characters will then fly out in the air... and you will then try to knock out everyone other, or get out of this place... by the door, or the window!

How to play: Let's suppose you received the Hero Card of the Dwarf character. The Dwarf is looking for Weapons, Inventions, and most importantly... Beers! He will then do everything possible to get such treasures in his pockets. During the peaceful negotiations, you will try to propose interesting treasures to other players, and ask them to exchange such treasures with you. They do not listen to you? They exchange what should be yours to other players? Then it will be time to use out some muscles.

Other characters will enter the tavern at times. Those will be neutral characters, but they will be aligned with one Hero or the other. And if a fight is declared they will join it up, allying themselves to the ones they are aligned to!

So you have friends in the house, you just need to watch out for them, and declare the fight at the right time. And strike hard, to knock out the ones who are still holding what should be yours...


Tavern Battle is a game for 2 to 6 players, played in about 45 minutes. Game material includes 110 nicely illustrated cards and two dice.
